This is Alex, head of Tentai Books. We have some important updates and news to share with everyone, so let’s dive right in.
Security Notice: Discord Account Compromise
First and foremost, I regret to inform everyone that my work Discord account (alextentai) has been compromised, and our server might have been affected as well. I am actively working to regain access, but in the event that this is not possible, we may need to establish a new work server. Please stay tuned for updates on this matter, and thank you for your understanding and patience.
Upcoming Releases and Progress Updates
Despite these issues, our team has been hard at work on several projects. Here’s a look at what you can expect in the coming months:
Sister Kiss and Toxic Girlfriend:
- We have licensed all remaining volumes for Sister Kiss and Toxic Girlfriend.
- Toxic Girlfriend 2 is complete and scheduled for release in August.
- Toxic Girlfriend 3 is nearing translation completion.
- Sister Kiss 2 is done and scheduled for a July release, while work on Sister Kiss 3 is underway.
- We are committed to maintaining a monthly release schedule, barring any delays in new volume licensing.
World Teacher:
- World Teacher 3 is scheduled for release on June 10th. We apologize for the delay and hope you enjoy the new volume.
Seatmate Killer:
- We are experiencing delays in obtaining the rights to continue Seatmate Killer volumes 3 and 4 from Futabasha. We are working diligently to secure these licenses and appreciate your patience.
New Printer Partnership
In other news, we are finalizing a deal with a new printer. Our previous printer has unfortunately gone out of business. The quality of our new prints will match the high standards you saw with the first volumes of World Teacher.
The first order of business once this is sealed will be to finally print and fulfill Ice Queen 2 orders, as well as Seatmate Killer 2 orders. We will also handle free digital keys to those who made pre-orders back in the day.
While we aim to keep the pricing of our physical books stable, rising costs in the printing industry may force us to increase prices by $1 USD. We will do our best to minimize this impact. Regardless of this change happening or not, I am committed to keep the same quality throughout all physical releases, with the same materials and specs as the original books.
I would personally like to ask those who have bought our products to let me know if the inclusion of free bookmarks and extra content has been to their liking, as this could influence our future printing decisions, such as bringing exclusive content from the artists of the books to be featured within these extra materials included within our physicals. A great example would be the exclusive Touka postcard that we distributed along with volume 3 of Side Character’s physicals. Be sure to check it out in the product page if you haven’t yet.

PS: We’ve been making a lot of changes to the website, and we plan to bring out more eventually. This will hopefully include better-looking product pages, series pages, and a functionality to gift a free digital key of a book along with physical purchases.
